The little Black Dress Exhibition
November 24th-December 16th 2017
Rachael has been inspired by her battle with bowel cancer and coming out the other side. She named her stoma bag Stan and when she didn't need him any more she had lots left over which would have to be put in the bin as they were custom made for her. So the Little Black Dress idea was born to make use of all the Stan Stoma Bags.
Rachael Blakeway has put together a unique exhibition with a little help of 50 friends and family. Back in the beginning of the year they were given a stoma bag called Stan and were asked to decorate it how they wished but with two conditions 1. It had to be in black & 2. The stoma hole had to be still visible.
Rachael has taken the decorated Stan Stoma bags and has made them into a stunning little black dress which is now on display in the exhibition gallery
The family & friends were also asked to decorate a pair of stoma pants as bright and colourful as they wished. They will be hung on a washing line in the exhibition.
